Engineer, develop, and define Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) electrified powertrain subsystems including electrified propulsion (including Hybrid operating systems), and battery and high voltage subsystems (battery state estimation including State of Charge (SOC), State of Health (SOH), and State of Energy (SOE)) requirements, using IBM Rational DOORS, DOORS Next Generation (DNG), Jama Connect, MATLAB, Simulink, and ETAS INCA tools, following SAE J1979 standards and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Analyze and define subsystem functional controls and hardware requirements including context diagram and hardware integration of function, functional and physical partitioning of requirements, functional interface, aging, build variation, and environmental, mapping of inputs to outputs, actuator and sensor performance, performance requirements including latency, overshoot, and oscillation, diagnostic and degraded state requirements, use cases for normal and degraded states, and signal and data retention requirements. Evaluate requirements in early development phase including goals from stakeholders on electric range, energy consumption, trailer tow study results, root mean square (RMS) current, weight, electric motors, and high voltage batteries.
