- Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science, or closely related field to include a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours or eighteen (18) quarter hours in Computer Science; OR
- Possess an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or in Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field; AND Have a minimum of one (1) year full-time work experience in Information Systems to include Applications Development in Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL, Hardware/Software Maintenance and Support and/or Network Administration; AND Have professional certification in any of the following Information Technology areas:
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- Database Administrator (MCDBA); OR
- Possess an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field; AND Have a minimum of two (2) years full-time work experience in Information Systems to include Application/Database Development and Maintenance, Hardware/Software Maintenance and Support and/ or Network Configuration, Installation and Administration, and experience with relational database development/maintenance.
- Individuals with experience in Armed Service valued.
- Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation that may have to be used to carry out job duties of this classification.
