1. Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with an area of specialization or concentration in health education, health sciences, social work, social sciences, public health, health administration or closely related field;
2. Must be able to obtain and maintain certification as a Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS), Certified Prevention Consultant (CPC), and/or Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) within one (1) year of employment. A CPS Development Plan will be required within 60 days of hire if not already obtained.
3. Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Michigan Driver License within 30 days of employment.
4. Must have reliable transportation that may have to be used to carry out job duties of this classification.
Preferred but not Required
1. Bilingual candidates highly desired.
2. Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
3. Individuals in Recovery and individuals with experience in Armed Services valued.
