Responsibilities
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a part-time, on-call position available for a water/wastewater operator-in-training. Responsibilities include using Microsoft software (Word and Excel) to enter data and maintain reports for water and wastewater projects; the office safety program; assisting with scheduling and communication between clients and team members; assisting operators in maintaining piping, pumps, valves, and tanks for treatment plants and operating and maintaining instrumentation.
The hours for this position could vary weekly from zero to 20, and potentially sometimes more than 40. This position will be in our Indian River area office and sometimes may travel to various project sites; it is currently an On-Call (i.e., no benefits) position. Depending on workload this position could become a full-time (benefits eligible) position.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
Creating and managing Excel spreadsheets
Editing technical reports using MS Word
OSHA/MSHA safety regulations and performing work within these regulations
Database management
Water and/or wastewater operations (maintaining piping, pumps, valves, and tanks)
Laboratory environments
