6C is a 32 bed Pulmonary Medicine Unit with a specialty in Cystic Fibrosis
- Provide patient care under direct supervision of the RN.
- Perform procedures, including setting up and maintaining specialized clinical equipment such as bedside scales, doppler, accucheck and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
- Specimin collection.
- Provide personal hygiene to patients and other delegated nursing procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Required: High school diploma, GED or equivalent, ability to read and write and one of the following:
- Junior status in an accredited BSN program
- 2nd year in accredited ADN program
- Bachelors Degree in Applied Medical Science
- a minimum 1-year recent experience in an unlicensed assistive role in a patient care setting, such as nurse aide in a hospital setting
- a minimum two years experience in in an unlicensed assistive role in a patient care setting in a nursing home or other health care environment
- Demonstrates time management skills.
- Six to twelve months of prior direct patient care experience.
- Course work in Allied Health Field, including basic science and math courses.
Shift/Hours: Day/Evening rotating shift, 36 hours per week
