Product Manager Opportunity:
Job Description and Role Responsibilities:
The Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDIA) Customer Product Group effectively collaborates with all teams within the GDIA Customer space including SCA-C, Consent & Climes, CAP, the Global Marketing Platform, ICI-Decisioning, ICI-Marketing Technologies, and the SCA-C Strategic Data Environment to understand Product strategies & roadmaps and ensure all teams are successfully & effectively delivering the prioritized Business value to our GDIA Business Partners. The GDIA Customer Product Group also interfaces with many other Integration teams within GDIA, Mobility, Marketing & Sales, Ford, Ford Credit, and other organizations to ensure alignment of dependencies and priorities throughout Ford. The Product Manager role within the GDIA Customer Product Group Integration team will provide a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of many areas within the greater Ford Organization because of the vast interactions between Global Ford applications and the GDIA Customer data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage GDIA Customer Product Group Backlog
- Works closely with Product Line Integration teams to establish & contribute to product strategy while ensuring development teams understand the strategy
- Manage New Demand within the GDIA Customer Product Group
- Ensure the backlog is populated with enough prioritized Epics/Sub-Epics that are ready for estimation and execution for the upcoming Program Increments (PI)
- Publicize and communicate New Demand to both management and the Product Line Integration Teams
- Manage Epic and Sub Epic creation, maintenance, status reporting, and closure
- Initiate and translate product road maps into manageable Epics & Sub-Epics in the backlog
- Understand business and user priorities as well as technical feasibility in order to help prioritization
- Lead and manage the ongoing maintenance of GDIA Customer Product Group backlog and keeps it up to date at all times
- Proactively manage dependencies with interfacing systems as well risks & issues arising due to those dependencies
- Focus on early mitigation or elimination of Risks
- Plan and lead PI Reviews by working with the Product Line Integration Teams to ensure they coordinate their Product Team reviews and demonstrations
- Enable and Communicate
- Understand the organizational development practices, platform requirements, and project management framework
- Encourage Product Line Integration Teams and Product teams to maintain accurate status towards Features (and the rollup to Epics & Sub-Epics) in order to ensure successful delivery to Business commitments
- Clearly communicate product group vision to team members and stakeholders
- Assess the overall health of the product group and raise key suggestions to move it forward
- Communicate often and openly with the team by being responsive to in-person prompts
- Adapt and React
- Gather customer and internal feedback to drive improvements and inform product roadmap
Must Have Skills:
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- 3-5+ years of Business Analyst, Solutions Architect, Project Manager, or Product Manager experience
- 3+ years of experience defining and prioritizing product features, epics, or sub-epics
- 3+ years of experience with CA Agile Central (Rally) or similar Agile tools
- Time Management skills to comply with tight deadlines
- Effective Interpersonal Skills
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills – including right-sizing communications depending on audience needs
