Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan.
Overview
This role involves assembling wiring harnesses, validating quality, and maintaining organized workspaces in a team environment. It is a long-term position based on performance, located in Allen Park.
Responsibilities
- Follow provided work instructions, including prints, cut sheets, and sample harnesses
- Assemble wiring harnesses using hand tools and proper techniques
- Work in small teams to meet daily build requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Track inventory of project parts and supplies
- Conduct quality validation of wire harness assemblies
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams on collaborative projects
- Provide world-class products and services
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in wire harness assembly
- Reliable transportation
- Detail-oriented
- Proficiency in wire prep, crimping, soldering, and de-pinning
- Ability to read and interpret wiring prints and cut sheets
- Accurate measurement skills
- Experience with multimeters
- Effective communication skills
- Computer skills
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Flexibility to cross-train for expanded opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive high voltage experience
