Talascend is currently seeking an Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan.
Overview
The Assembler I or II role will assist and learn from a senior assembler in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position involves supporting vehicle and product assembly, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist a senior assembler with assembling products and sub-components to support vehicle production and other products.
- Support vehicle and material movement in and around the facility.
- Follow electronic build instructions for assembly.
- Clean and prepare components and vehicles for production.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow established safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3+ years of experience required.
- Ability to learn and follow written instructions.
- Proficient with computer usage.
- Ability to perform fine hand manipulations.
- Knowledge of tools and their use.
- Ability to focus on details and quality of work.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school automotive shop classes.
- Experience performing personal vehicle maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
