Position Summary: The Child Watch Attendant is responsible for the care and safety of the children in Child Watch areas throughout the facility.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the safety, supervision and active entertainment of all children placed in Child Watch areas.
a. Maintain readiness and cleanliness of the assigned Child Watch area by cleaning and organizing equipment, toys, and play areas as determined by protocols.
b. Assure adherence to Safe From Harm program guidelines. Report any suspicion of child abuse or Safe from Harm violations to the Membership Director or Child Watch Lead.
c. Enforce all guidelines that pertain to the assigned Child Watch area on a constant and consistent basis.
d. Engage in developmental activities with the children checked into child watch that will ensure a quality experience during the child's stay.
e. Follow check-in/checkout procedures for all children.
2. Provide quality customer service to the members using Child Watch services.
a. Provide information and answer questions about all programs and activities available at the Kroc Center.
b. Maintain clear communications with other departments.
c. Perform other assignments/duties as assigned.
d. Provide prompt and courteous service to all members and day pass users utilizing Child Watch services.
e. Attend departmental in-service trainings and staff meetings as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
* One year experience working with children and infants required
* Be at least 18 years old.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
* Be able to read, write and communicate in English with the preferred ability to also communicate in Spanish.
Computer Skills:
* Computer knowledge preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Complete Safe From Harm training within 30 days, and keep current
Have CPR/AED/First Aid or obtain within 45 days, and keep current
