Position Summary

The Barista is responsible for preparing specialty coffee beverages and food items, operating the cash register, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, blended beverages, and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare food items following company procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle payments, including cash, credit cards, gift certificates, coupons, and other payment methods.
• Stock supplies, merchandise, and display areas, ensuring products are properly rotated and readily available.
• Stay informed about current products, promotions, and store programs.
• Operate coffee shop and register equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, product quality, and inventory management.
• Assist in maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and inviting coffee shop environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Previous coffee shop, food service, or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
