How You Will Make an Impact
· Use of general civil engineering concepts in support of engineering projects related to tunnels, sewage systems, bridges, and concrete structures.
· Assist senior engineers in collection and analysis of data for development of project drawings and specifications.
· Monitor construction operations, including concrete structure rehabilitation, earthwork, dewatering, and excavation support installations.
· Prepare engineering field reports and quantity tracking.
· Perform a variety of engineering analyses and calculations, with and without the use of engineering software.
· 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Management.
· Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related degree, from a 4-year accredited college or university.
· EIT preferred.
· Internship/Co-op experience preferred.
· Accuracy, dependability, and strong organizational skills.
· Exceptional time management skills, ability to manage multiple assignments at any given time, and have ability to work in a team environment.
· Must hold a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at job sites as well as offices in Michigan.
· May be required to perform job duties in the field and office, during non-standard work hours, as necessary.
· May be required to enter and work within confined spaces, once appropriately trained.
· May be required to enter and work on elevated platforms or lifts, once appropriately trained.
