Position: Secondary History Teacher
Location: Merrill Middle/High School
Reports To: Middle/High School Principal

Position Summary:
The Secondary History Teacher delivers engaging instruction in history and social studies, emphasizing critical thinking, research, civic literacy, and the development of students’ understanding of historical and social concepts.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold a valid Secondary Michigan Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Social Studies (RX 6–12) or Social Science (CX 6–12).
- Additional secondary endorsement in a core subject area, such as Mathematics, preferred.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and students.
- Satisfactory completion of all required background checks is required, including:
- Criminal History Background Check
- Unprofessional Conduct Clearance (PA 189)
- Personal and Professional Reference Verifications
