HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Programmer Analyst (Ref# PA87RS).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Under direct supervision, assist in the analysis, implementation, coding, documentation, maintenance, and support of computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems for client projects. Write specifications and reports, code, test, and debug computer programs. Review user requests and software program requirements for new and modified programs. Respond to and resolve incidents assigned to the product team. Research and answer business partner questions. Analyze complex business problems in the existing system by collaborating with business partners and users. Serve as liaison between business partner and all interface applications. Create, maintain, and monitor processes for the application. Review PL/1 code as part of modernization efforts, contributing to design documentation. Review the technical specifications and code new or modify existing programs as per the design requirements. Build clean, readable, understandable, and maintainable code. Monitor daily and nightly batch processes. Act as change agents for the change records. Provide application technical support and maintenance activities for enhanced system functionality. Interact with end-users and troubleshoot production issues. Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate the software architecture that meets business partner’s requirements in an effective and cost-efficient manner. Create detailed technical specifications for application software to be performed by the development team. Review design ideas and prototype with product owners and development team. Provide Innovative solutions to system problems. Prepares System requirements specification documents. Maintain systems documentation. Prepare test plan based on the system requirement specifications. Use of COBOL, PL/1, JCL, SAS, REXX, CLIST, ISPF, Java, Python, Spring Boot, PeopleSoft, Control-M, DB2, and Agile.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Software Engineer or related experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with COBOL, PL/1, JCL, Java, Spring Boot, and DB2. 40hrs/week.
