Reports To: Branch Leader
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union in delivering on its mission, vision, and brand promise by living out our core values in every service contact with both internal and external members. Essential Duties
- Receive and process member transactions including cash and check deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Assist members with account maintenance and account changes.
- Collaborate with branch staff to identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Ensure security and compliance procedures are followed in all transactions.
- Work an in-branch schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday business hours as scheduled, and additional hours as needed for meetings and training.
- Successfully obtain the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through America's Credit Unions within the first year of employment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create opportunities to expand member relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending Credit Union solutions.
- Remind delinquent members when payments are due.
- Maintain Sales and Service Performance Expectations.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and CTR reporting.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding accounts, statements, and account history.
- Process check orders.
- Sell Visa Gift Cards, Travel Cards, cashier's checks, and money orders.
- Collect applicable service fees.
- Answer telephone inquiries.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist other departments with clerical duties as needed.
- Participate in monthly developmental coaching.
General Sales Expectations
- Build relationships with current and prospective members.
- Recommend products and services that improve members' financial well-being.
- Participate in Credit Union initiatives, promotions, and assigned financial service goals.
- Assist with onboarding new members and building long-term relationships.
Other Duties
- Attend educational functions and Community Difference Projects (CDP).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding Credit Union philosophy, products, and services.
- Demonstrate courtesy, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism when interacting with members and coworkers.
- Apply financial counseling concepts learned through the Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move or transport up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to remain stationary for 2–4 hours at a time.
Work Environment
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Routinely clean and disinfect teller stations, desks, phones, and electronic equipment.
- Protect the confidentiality of member and employee information by securing workstations when away.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating a personal computer.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with members and staff.
- Good working knowledge of credit union products and services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn Credit Union systems, products, services, and procedures.
- Education and experience requirements may be waived for Co-Op students.
