Iroquois Industries is seeking an experienced Die Setter to join our manufacturing team. The Die Setter is responsible for setting up and operating heavy-duty metal stamping presses while ensuring safe, efficient, and quality-focused production.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with progressive and line dies, heavy-tonnage stamping presses, and material handling equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Production

• Set up and change over progressive and line dies on heavy-duty stamping presses.
• Measure and adjust the press ram to accommodate die setup requirements.
• Align dies and set up air cushions to ensure proper press operation.
• Secure dies to the press ram and bed using appropriate tooling and hardware.
• Position metal strip or workpieces into dies and verify proper feeder operation.
• Reposition parts through multi-stage die operations as required.
• Set up scrap and finished-part chutes to maintain efficient material flow.
• Remove dies from presses upon completion of production and properly tag dies requiring repair or maintenance before returning them to the Tool Room.
• Load steel coils and prepare feeder equipment for production runs.
• Perform die and equipment changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of progressive, line, and transfer die operations.
• Knowledge of metal stamping processes and heavy-tonnage press operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot setup issues and make mechanical adjustments.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
