Develop and implement product applications for wafer inspection products to provide maximum value to the customer in the semiconductor industry. Focus on new product introduction such as characterization, alpha testing, beta testing and pilot tools in the ramp phase. Develop and review feature requirements, design test plans, collect data, perform analysis, publish results and recommendations. Generate best known method documents, application notes and related material, and transfer product knowledge to Field Applications teams. Perform product diagnosis and problem resolution and interface with systems and software engineering teams to verify that hardware and software problems have been resolved. Conduct new product demonstrations and technical training to showcase differentiated performance that helps drive sales and product adoption. Generate demo and test reports for internal and customer review. Apply electrical, materials, or mechanical engineering knowledge to current and future generation of products. 10% domestic travel required. Salary range: $125,115 - $158,600 per year.
Position requires: PHD degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
