The Advanced Safety CAE Engineer is responsible for virtual safety development of structure for projects in advance phase. This role will require proposing and virtually validating concepts during advance phase to support product development.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Structural, Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering
5+ years of experience in crash safety simulation
Strong fundamental knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and Structure development to meet crash requirements
Create/modify full vehicle CAE models using ANSA, perform analysis using LS-Dyna to assess and develop structure to meet regulatory and third party crash requirements.
Software:
LS-DYNA, ANSA, Metapost
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Structural/Mechanical/Civil or Aerospace Engineering
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to interpret complex simulation results and communicate clearly
Proficiency in automotive components and vehicle systems
Familiarity with global safety regulations and consumer rating protocols
