Position Description
Employees in this role are responsible for translating desired business capabilities into solution concepts, models, and functional and technical requirements. Key responsibilities include designing strategies, technology patterns, and service structures, as well as ensuring architecture and information management guidance and governance.
The position is accountable for enterprise capability integration by identifying opportunities to align information and process flows, selecting appropriate implementation strategies, and defining the technology mechanisms required.

The role also includes compiling, developing, and aligning architectural models of current and proposed capabilities and solutions across the enterprise to support strategic and investment decisions, portfolio management, program and project management, solution and service design and development, and service management.

Additional responsibilities include driving information integration, information standards, and information management through capability and value assessment.

Employees deliver architecture artifacts—including business, information, data, process, solution, application, service, technology, and infrastructure architectures—to solution, service, and technology delivery initiatives, programs, and projects. They also set architecture and design direction (technologies, patterns, principles, development frameworks) in collaboration with project management and system design/development.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction and support to project teams by translating business capabilities into well-defined projects/programs with clear objectives and deliverables.
- Visualize and communicate architecture concepts, principles, strategies, and models for programs, initiatives, and domains.
- Facilitate architecture discussions across cross-functional business sponsors and product lines to ensure alignment.
- Participate in relevant business/IT governance processes as a member or facilitator.
- Ensure alignment between architecture projects, standards, and related IT projects and plans by engaging with appropriate IT and business leaders.
- Develop recommendations that improve the business value of IT projects and plans.
- Set direction and approve future-state architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps across business functions.
- Drive architecture-related research to mature architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps.
- Direct and approve innovations or prototypes resulting from research; approve recommendations on architecture, tools, methodologies, and processes.
- Facilitate architecture governance and ensure adherence to established architecture standards.
- Secure buy-in for architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps from business and IT leadership.
- Promote the benefits and value of architecture and architecture management to business and IT senior management.
- Provide guidance on strategy and planning in support of prioritization and portfolio planning.

- 10+ years of experience in IT
- 4+ years of experience in a concentration area
