JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for the integration of hydraulic and electrical systems details in schematics, drawings, and parts lists that will be used in production and service. They will manage and monitor systems installations, including but not limited to, configuration, testing, and maintenance. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Confer with other engineers and personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
- Combine various designs, blueprints, and schematics.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency.
- Evaluate existing systems and provide recommendations on areas of improvement.
- Assist with demonstrations of proposed solutions.
- Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and recommend remedial actions.
- Develop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effect, potential new applications, or necessity of modification.
- Assist with the structural design of products, using drafting tools and drafting computer software.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid edge or other design program experience
- Bachelors’ degree preferred but not required
- Two (2) or more years of experience in related position
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently sit for extended periods of time
- Required to stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Occasionally lift 30 pounds
