Job Title: Weld Technician
Level/Salary range: Intermediate
Travel required: Occasionally
Work shift: 6a – 2p Monday - Friday
Job Summary:
The Welding Technician is responsible for day-to-day support of welding equipment and may assist
welding engineering personnel with the development, application, evaluation, and documentation of
welding techniques and processes used to manufacture welded products. They will adhere to all Bandit
safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate welding and joining processes for lab tests and perform welding experiments.
- Work with engineering teams to develop and test new products.
- Repair and maintain welding equipment.
- Clean welding equipment.
- Conduct training programs and other activities for employees.
- Support related manufacturing requirements.
- Troubleshoot welding problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Robotic welding experience preferred but not required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in related position
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend.
- Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and or wet/humid conditions.
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Frequently life 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift 60 pounds.
