Nursery/Greenhouse Plants (10 Positions)
Workers will assist with the care and production of potted plants, hanging baskets, and flats in a greenhouse environment. Duties include filling containers with soil by hand or machine; transplanting, tagging, fertilizing, and moving plants; and loading or unloading products from trucks or racks near the loading dock. Workers will lay tarps, install and repair drip lines, and help set up irrigation systems. Tasks also include fixing greenhouse equipment, repairing flat tires on carts and racks, and performing basic maintenance such as greasing equipment or welding minor rack repairs (training provided). Workers will maintain clean greenhouse areas by removing debris, mowing grass with hand tools or mowers, and pulling weeds inside and around the facility. A valid driver’s license is preferred for local deliveries, and forklift experience is preferred but training is available. The job requires frequent bending, stooping, standing, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Applicants must have at least 3 months of verified experience in a commercial greenhouse or nursery environment performing similar plant-production tasks. Work will take place in Wayne County, Michigan.

Work schedule: Generally, 35 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Additional hours may be offered but are not required.

Separate sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities are designated for male and female workers; family housing is not available. H-2A workers who use employer-provided housing at no cost will be offered a wage rate of $17.18 per hour, based on the 2026 State minimum wage of Michigan.
