Greenhouse & Nursery Plants (12 Positions)
Twelve greenhouse nursery workers are needed to assist with the production of annuals, perennials, poinsettias, bedding plants, and fall mums. Responsibilities include filling pots, flats, and baskets with soil both by hand and with machinery; planting, tagging, watering, fertilizing, and moving plants throughout the greenhouse; and installing irrigation systems, drip lines, and tarps. Workers will also package, load, and unload products from trucks and racks near the loading area. General maintenance tasks include cleaning the greenhouse and surrounding areas, mowing grass, spraying or pulling weeds, mulching, and performing basic repairs such as fixing or greasing cart and rack tires. This position requires frequent bending, stooping, standing, pushing, pulling, walking, and repetitive movements. Workers must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in a commercial greenhouse or nursery production setting. Work will take place in Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Work schedule: Generally, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be offered but are not required.

Separate sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities are designated for male and female workers; family housing is not available. H-2A workers who use employer-provided housing at no cost will be offered a wage rate of $18.15 per hour, based on the 2026 State minimum wage of Michigan.
