Overview:
Provides guidance and support for the implementation of firmwide architectural visualization technologies to support continuous process improvement, promote innovation and increase the quality of work delivered to clients. Serves as the primary contact for collaboration with the Digital Project Delivery team to support a global vision for design technology at HKS. Identifies trends and evolving topics within support and improvement requests. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of practices and procedures to complete assignments with originality and ingenuity. Anticipates job expectations while performing design and technical tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Leads and coordinates efforts of Practice Technology for project teams needs related to architectural design visualization
Develops workflows for architectural visualization, virtual, augmented and mixed reality experiences on firmwide design projects
Implements current architectural visualization strategy and assists in revising as appropriate for project requirements
Assists in maintaining and creating firm-wide documentation, procedures and standards
Collaborates on the BIM execution/project plan with project teams including clients, consultants, construction managers, general contractors and trade disciplines
Understands and defines requirements for real time visualization per project
Enforces organizational best practices and prerequisite skills to ensure compliance with established firmwide standards for design excellence
Works in a team environment, communicates updates, participates in discussions and researches the best approach per project
Researches new tools and stays abreast of latest developments in the visualization industry to share firmwide
Conducts training and shares knowledge with a global group of designers and Immersive Technology champions
Travel may be required
Qualifications:
Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Graphics, Animation, or related field;
Typically 5+ years of experience in the architecture industry
Typically 3+ years of architectural visualization industry experience
Expert knowledge of and proven practical experience in AEC authoring applications including Revit
Expert knowledge of and proven practical experience in Architectural Design Visualization applications such as Enscapeand Twinmotion
Expert knowledge of all phases of creating Architectural Visualizations including modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering and postproduction techniques
Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
Familiarity with creating and facilitating immersive experiences (VR/AR/MR)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships
Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
Ability to collaborate and encourage collaboration in a team environment
Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
Base Salary Range: $75k - 100k annually - Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Seattle, Washington DC and Chicago locations only
