The Accounting Analyst is responsible for the following:
Maintenance of the general ledger including requesting new general ledger accounts and validating set up of new accounts.
Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Monitoring internal control procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls.
Leading, training and directing staff at offshore business partners.
Performing variance analysis.
Assisting in the compilation and analysis of accounting and finance information for the production of financial statements, including the notes and reports.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; if no degree in Accounting or Finance, must have a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Accounting Designation (i.e. CPA, CMA, CA)
Accounting or Finance internship experience; or a minimum of 6 months of professional work experience in the related field
Experience in general ledger and month end closing, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and expense variation analysis
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of at least 1 year experience in accounting or financial analysis
Experience with PSAP a plus
Experience with OneStream or similar account reconciliation tool
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate team building skills
Ability to work independently and multi-task
Excellent accounting, analytical and teamwork skills
Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment
