Description Of Duties: Sets up and operates equipment according to blueprint, work order or
layout specifications. Sharpen and smooth cutting edge of tools using abrasive
wheel. Positions and holds cutting edge of tool against abrasive wheel to sharpen and
smooth tool edge. Reposition and hold tool edge to further sharpen and smooth edge.
*Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
Requirements: Probation Period: 90 days
Experience: Preferred machine shop experience or working with related equipment such as
grinding wheels, reading blueprints and schematics and reading calipers and micrometers.
Education: Highschool Diploma or GED
Specific Skills: Being able to select and dress wheels. Read and interpret blueprints and routin s.
Work Record: Sound references with little or no late reporting.
