Department: Machine Shop
Shift & Days: 1st Shift Monday - Friday
Description Of Duties:
- Set up, operate, and maintain said machines, Operate lathe to perform a series of machining operations on work pieces.
- Select and install work holding
fixtures such as collets, chucks, or specialty holding devices. Direct flow of coolant
against work piece.
- Verify conformance of work piece to be within specifications of blueprint. Change and sharpen tools with bench grinder if necessary.
- Assist withset-up when needed.
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
- You will be required to supply your own tools needed such as mies, calipers, wrenches, and anything else needed to do the job.
Requirements
Probation Period: 90 days
Experience: Demonstrate the ability to work with a variety of machinery. Machine shop experience preferred.
Education: Highschool Diploma or GED
Specific Skills: Being able to study blueprints and visualize machining to be done. Read
routings and prints. Reading calipers, micrometers, and comparator. Process work piece
efficiently within company standards.
Work Record: Sound references with little or no late reporting.
