Accountant I (Entry)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Fixed Asset:
Fixed asset classification/creation/tracking
Physically audit for both the semi-annual internal audit and the yearly accounting audit. Primarily Michigan and support California when needed
Provide monthly reports for fixed asset (rollforward, state apportionment, book value, etc.)
Provide year-end asset creation and documentation support for fixed assets.
KPMG Audit Support:
Provide support to the annual audit, pull documentation, research transactions, and any other support necessary related to the auditor requests.
Monthly Reports to Management:
Make monthly reports to management based on assignments delegated by management. Including but not limited to functional area reports, budget detail reports, among others.
Prepare prepaid journal entries and management of the monthly reconciliation of prepaid general ledger
Train engineering departments on prepaid policy
Ad hoc projects
Travel 5%
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
BS in Accounting or related fields of study
Experience working in culturally diverse team environment
