Summary Description: Electrical Engineers will interface with all mill business units. The engineer will manage and support capital, maintenance and mill electrical controls and instrumentation including PLC, AC/DC drives, and motor control.
Key Accountabilities:
Building effective project teams and aligning objectives with business goals.
Provide engineering leadership and expertise to accomplish technical alternative reviews, develop sound proposals, implementation and startup of projects.
Coordinate construction resources to efficiently implement and startup projects.
Manage multiple projects from conception through completion.
Provide direction and oversight to contract engineering.
Provide engineering and technical support to mill operations and maintenance.
Be an advocate of national and local codes, mill specifications, and documentation systems.
Become a mill expert in the area of electrical controls and instrumentationQualifications
Minimum Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field.
7+ years of experience as an electrical engineer
Proven History in Project Development, Execution and Commissioning
Can demonstrate effective interpersonal, analytical and technical skills
Demonstrated ability to solve problems, lead change and drive improvement
Familiarity with multiple disciplines: Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, Process
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluent in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and MS Project
Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United StatesPersonal qualities
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated leadership skills
Industrial / Construction Work Experience
Technical expertise in the area of electrical controls and instrumentation
Experience with RSLogix 5000 PLC programming, Motor Control and AC/DC drives
