Location: Linwood Elementary
Position Type: Term Position (Not a new position)
Start Date: 2025–2026 School Year
Reports To: Classroom Instructor, Special Education Director, and/or Building Principal
Work Schedule:

Hours: 6.75 hours per day (7:40 AM – 2:55 PM)

Lunch: ½-hour unpaid

Days: Monday – Friday, on student instruction days or as directed by administration
Compensation & Benefits:

Union Transfer: Per Master Contract

New Hire Rate: $16.65 per hour

Benefits: Eligible for Category 1 benefits without a waitlist
Responsibilities:

Assist assigned teacher with student supervision, documentation, and instructional implementation

Work one-on-one or in small group settings with students
-
Support students’ developmental learning activities

Provide basic needs care, including bathrooming, diapering, behavior monitoring, and medication assistance

Follow and implement behavior plans

Perform typing tasks, participate in in-service trainings and evaluations, and other duties as needed

Operate general office equipment such as computers, copiers, laminators, and fax machines
Qualifications:
-
Must meet ESSA requirements via ETS Parapro Assessment or WORKKEYS

Understanding of children’s developmental and behavioral needs
-
Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families
-
Dependable, responsible, and able to take direction

Other qualifications or alternatives as deemed appropriate and acceptable by the Board
