Plan, coordinate, develop, and implement district-wide curriculum (PreK–12, all disciplines)

Ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment to support Michigan Merit Curriculum

Coordinate professional development activities for staff and administrators, including new teacher induction and mentoring

Participate in ISD Curriculum Council and lead District School Improvement processes (MICIP)
-
Support balanced literacy programs including shared, guided, and independent reading strategies
-
Coordinate district testing and assessments (M-STEP, Michigan Merit Exam, SAT, AP, FastBridge, etc.)

Oversee additional programs such as Career Pathways, MM Health, and the Sexual Health Advisory Committee
-
Manage and administer all State and Federal Grants including (but not limited to): Title I, Title II, Section 31a, 31aa, 23g, and Homeless Liaison

Ensure compliance with all state and federal education mandates

Prepare and distribute the District Annual Report and School Improvement Plan

Supervise the MTSS Coordinator and MTSS Teacher
-
Lead the adoption of core and supplemental instructional materials aligned with Michigan State Standards

Provide instructional practice training and support for teachers and administrators

Represent the district in county and state education reform efforts

Serve as administrative liaison to the Board Curriculum Committee and Board Policy Committee
