The Apprentice Coordinator position is responsible for managing apprenticeship enrollment,
advisement, and other apprentice related learning opportunities within occupational programs at the
college. Responsibilities include providing assistance to apprentice related inquiries, maintaining
paperwork (related technical Instruction - RTI plan) that relates to apprentices and their employers
(sponsoring apprentices). Act as liaison with US Department of Labor Offices of Apprenticeship,
regional and local Michigan Works! Offices and the college. Additionally supports development of
Perkins grant application, other externally funded grants related to apprenticeship and help meet
their reporting requirements. Will be part of the team implementing strategic plan for the college as it
relates to apprenticeship development and sustenance at the college. Reports to the Dean of Applied
Sciences and Engineering Technology (ASET) division.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Three or more years of experience working with registered apprentices and/or occupational program
students, grants and budgets; knowledge of occupational programs and course offerings in the State of
