JOB DESCRIPTION:
Monroe County Community College has a full-time position open for a Supervisor of Power Systems Operations. The Supervisor of Power Systems Operations directs and performs skilled mechanical maintenance work in the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and basic electrical systems for the campus. The Supervisor assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems, supervises the performance of emergency and routine maintenance on-campus facilities and systems, and enforces federal regulations governing environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal and the use of chemical substances and materials. The Supervisor of Power Systems Operations generally works independently under established guidelines and with minimum supervision.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
an Associate’s degree in any of a variety of industrial or mechanical trades or business management with a minimum of five or more years of experience as a tradesman or similar experience. Building Operator Certification through the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC); a valid Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License; three or more years of supervisory experience in a physical plant setting is preferred.
