The Dental Hygienist provides clinical and administrative support working collectively with the dental team, delivering dental hygiene services while ensuring the highest standards of care and practice efficiency. This role combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, making it essential for the lead hygienist to balance clinical expertise with team management. The lead hygienist ensures that our patients (adults and children) receive high-quality hygiene services along with comprehensive patient centered oral healthcare.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in dental Hygiene from an accredited education program.
- Active Michigan licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and be eligible for appropriate credentialing.
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with staff and others involved in the delivery of service to patients.
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices; must be comfortable with community outreach.
- Must be proficient with Electronic Dental Records.
- Experience in treating patients of all ages.
- Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills; must demonstrate an ability to remain calm and perform effectively and professionally during peak periods of activity and in emergency situations.
