Summary
OneStream is looking for a Vice President of Global Education Services (GES) to join its Education Services team. The Vice President of Global Education Services (GES) will lead and oversee the strategic direction, development, and execution of our technical global education initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our education services, which include Content Development, Certification, Instructor-Led Training, Creative Production, Press, and Systems. The VP of GES will ensure the department continues to innovate and deliver high-quality technical educational programs that meet industry standards and exceed internal and external constituency expectations. The department has been recognized with the prestigious Computer Education Management Award (CEdMA) Enterprise Impact Award for 2024 and the Gold Award by the Brandon Hall Group for Best Advance in Creating an Extended Enterprise Learning Program for 2023.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
This role has a strong Sphere of Influence nature to it. There are many user consistencies that need to be address across a broad education enablement approach. The approach needs to address the continuum from New Product introduction, content creation, enablement and content delivery. This will require engaging and influencing department staffers beyond direct reporting relationships. This will include (but not limited to) Product Development, Sales/Pre-Sales, Services, Alliances, Customer Success and Support.
The VP, Global Education Services is responsible for supporting senior leadership personnel by managing lower-level departments and business operations. Their duties include relaying information about business objectives or company policy changes to Department Directors or Managers, meeting with company Executives to develop business strategies and overseeing departmental projects and initiatives.
Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Global Education Services (GES) department for the purposes of profitability, scale, product adoption, product expansion, and annual recurring revenue. This includes an AI strategy for creation and consumption.
Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the GES departments.
Develop GTM strategies and recommendations for all technical education modalities, including driving customer consumption.
Serve as the GES executive stakeholder and bridge between the cross-functional departments and teams in growing and maintaining commitment to vision and other strategic objectives and priorities.
Act as a trusted business partner to the Strategic Alliance organization and maintain consistent and strong alignment with Sales organization.
Establish and drive monetization models for education services.
Oversee technical training offerings and delivery covering all delivery modalities (i.e., on demand, ILT, webinars, certification exams, micro courses, videos, podcasts, books).
Lead and manage a team of ~50 employees across various functions including Content Development, Certification, Instructor-Led Training, Creative Production, Press, and Systems.
Manage the department's budget and resources effectively to maximize impact and efficiency.
Serve in a customer-facing role to support GES Sales Account Executives.
Drive the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and departmental goals.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs that align with industry standards and internal and external constituency needs (i.e., customers, partners, employees).
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the department. * Collaborate with other departments to integrate educational services into broader company initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes, KPIs, and OKRs.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences, promoting GES and its achievements.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or 10-12 years related work experience.
7-10 years of experience leading a diverse team.
Minimum of 7 years project management experience or equivalent level of technology project lead experience.
Prior Consulting Services, Sales, or Presales experience.
Leadership & Strategy
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in corporate education, training, or a related field.
8+ years in a senior leadership role with global scope, managing geographically distributed teams
Proven track record of building and scaling global education programs in a high-growth and fast-paced environment.
P&L Ownership & Business Acumen
Proven ability to own and grow a multi-million dollar P&L.
Experience managing third party vendors and training partners.
Experience in building revenue-generating education offerings.
Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices in education services (i.e., TSIA, CEdMA, IDC)
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in the SaaS industry or with IT education services.
Experience in Corporate Performance Management (CPM) strongly preferred.
Familiarity with SaaS metrics and how education drives adoption, retention, and expansion.
Experience collaborating closely with Customer Success and working with customers to develop training plans for centers of excellence.
Deep understanding of modern learning principles, instructional design, and LMS platforms.
