Recreational Therapist Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and supervise individual and group recreational therapy activities including yoga, calisthenics, board games, sports, crafts, sewing, painting, cooking, and more.
- Evaluate individual needs through observation, documentation review, and functional assessments.
- Maintain and manage therapeutic materials, equipment, and program supplies.
- Document all therapy sessions and activities in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Recreational Therapist Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Recreational Therapist program
- Valid Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist(CTRS) in the state of Michigan.
- Ability to relate to and treat all patients and their particular problems.
- Must possess strong patient assessment, patient management and documentation skills.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certified.
