Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business is required. Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is a plus. Five years’ experience is required in financial positions that included management responsibilities for budget and / or audit & internal controls. Strong preference will be given to those with previous Michigan public school finance experience. Familiarity with the ISD and public schools in Jackson County would also be a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations MSBO Business Office Manager (or equivalent) certification is required. MSBO Chief Financial Officer Certification preferred, and must be pursued if not already held by anyone in this position. Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record required.
