Position Overview:
Ensures the implementation of the Head Start program by supporting families as they move towards self-sufficiency by ensuring compliance in the areas of: Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA).

- Hours may vary, but should be similar to:
Mon-Thurs [7:30am-5:00pm] & Fri [7:30am-11:30am]
- Site Determined in Interview
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize recruitment techniques to determine eligible children and to ensure full enrollment of assigned sites by implementing procedures in accordance with Performance Standards
- Participate in recruitment activities and community events with agencies and organizations that provide services to children and families
- Schedule and complete intake applications, determine eligibility, and complete full enrollments for Head Start Families
- Accurately complete enrollment documents using the data management system
- Ensure children’s files contain the appropriate ERSEA documents
- Ensure all necessary staff are informed of attendance and enrollment changes
- Maintain enrollment and wait lists using Placement Priority procedures
- Update attendance reports, monitor child attendance, and follow up with families regarding attendance issues
- Assist with summer recruitment responsibilities, including ISD Intake.
Support to Department
- Attend team, department, or site meetings as needed
- Provide translation services when needed, if available
- Communicate with Special Needs staff regarding children with IEP’s and ongoing referrals
Required Education and Experience:
- New Hires: Associate's degree in social work or related field*. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
- Related fields include the following: Social Work, Social Services, Family Services, Family Studies, Behavioral Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Development, Psychology, and Education including Special Education, Early Childhood Education or Child Development (subject to change per Federal and State requirements).
- Bi-lingual preferred
- Past experience in Social Services field preferred
