We are seeking an outstanding market insights specialist who is passionate about the automation technology and software business to join our rapidly growing global strategy team.
In this strategic position, you will drive Dematic's understanding around market dynamics, our competitors, and how this relates to KION/Dematic. Your will work closely with both third-party research firms and internal data sources to provide critical insights that influence executive and regional management's strategic decisions.
This high-impact role demands outstanding communication and presentation skills, effectively engaging business partners at all levels within the organization verbally, and through persuasive Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
Reporting to the Director of Market Intelligence this position is based at our innovative global headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Due to the global scope, this role offers flexible, hybrid working options.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,875-$121,550 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
This is What You Will do in This Role:
Market / Competitor Research & Analysis
Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis on external competitor environment to provide insights and recommendation
Topics for analysis include, macroeconomic developments, competitor intelligence, customer intelligence, and industry trends
Identify, analyze, and synthesize data from internal and external sources, developing competitor profiles, financial analysis, portfolio analysis, and SWOT
Work with internal groups and data to develop competitive analyses that compares KION/Dematic against other companies
Develop framework/structure to maintain the pulse of the competitor market, including implementation of tools/processes to analyze both quantitative and qualitative information
Internal Performance Analysis
Identify various data sources and logic behind each field to understand its applicability and limitations
Extract, cleanse, and manipulate data to build financial/data models, ensuring attention to detail
Connect different data sources/data points to derive insights from various perspectives
Develop data processing logics to minimize repeating manual processes and errors
Seek out opportunities to improve data quality, and collaborate with other teams for the execution
Reporting / Communication
Produce high-quality work products in a variety of formats that synthesize and summarize insights in clear, concise form with supporting facts (includes strawman and content development)
Develop and implement communication plans addressing timeline, business partners, distribution methods, and messaging for various reports
Successfully present/communicate insights
Continuous evaluation on the efficiency of communication, making improvements accordingly
What We are Looking For:
3+ years working in the Automated Material Handling field is highly preferred
Background in Solution Development or Application Engineering with the ability to understand and communicate competitor financial / operations / technical differences in relation to KION/Dematic
3+ years proven track record in an analytically driven role with experience in conducting primary and secondary market research
Bachelor's degree in analytics/statistics, business/economics, engineering, or similar field
Strong logical/critical thinking skills in breaking down sophisticated problems into manageable components to navigate through ambiguity and perform autonomously
Ability to define and drive end to end execution plan with strong dedication and ownership (Ability to set and meet deadlines)
Proactive, self-motivated mentality to craft one's own path in delivering value daily
Excellent analytical/modeling capabilities with attention to details in implementing sophisticated logics to manage/process data as well as deriving insights from multiple data points
Strong eye for business to understand market contexts and the organization's goals
Solid understanding of the industry dynamics and business models
Knowledge of economic indicators relative to global and local economic trends
Knowledge of finance to interpret and evaluate our financial positions compared to competitors
Ability to work in fast paced environment and be flexible to shift focus given urgencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all aspects of responsibilities
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, PowerBI). Knowledge and skills on data processing languages and tools is a plus
