AAS Controls Engineering Group LeaderYour role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

You will be mainly accountable for:
*Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
*Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
*Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
*Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.Qualifications for the role
High School Diploma with minimum 17 experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum 15 years experience OR Bachelor's Degree with minimum 13 years experience OR Master's Degree with minimum 11 years experience.
5 years of experience working with industrial robots and/or PLC's.
Extensive knowledge of robot applications, e.g. Welding, Sealing, Handling, etc. - Automotive tooling and process standards - Efficient in using Step 7, AutoCAD and/or Rockwell Studio - Hands on experience programming industrial robots - Experience with AMR - Controls software and hardware design experience (good to have).
Additional Preferred Experience: Ford Fast Template, Lima Engine Plant experience, Ford Powertrain assembly experience.More about us
