Tuscola Behavioral Health Systems (TBHS) has been providing services within Tuscola County since 1974. As the Community Mental Health Agency within Tuscola County, we are here to provide services to children with severe emotional disorders, adults with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual/developmental disorders.
- This job is located in Caro, Michigan.
- This position is flexible in terms of hours (i.e. part time or contractual) - Approximately 25 – 30 hours per month
- Pay: $38.75 per hour
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse License in the State of Michigan required.
- Three years nursing experience, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness.
- Must possess a current and valid Michigan driver’s license and automobile insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating and instructing new group home staff on medication administration, medication refresher, basic health, advanced health, nutrition, and vital signs in conjunction with the MDHHS group home training curriculum.
- Reviews and updates curriculum tests to assure appropriateness of content.
- Reviews and updates curriculum, as allowable by MDHHS.
- Assures all new group home staff are adequately trained by the course conclusion as evidenced by the passing rate of the testing evaluation process.
- Answers all questions and concerns regarding training courses in a professional manner.
- Updates and completes medication refresher course for each assigned residential setting.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and actively supports culturally competent, recovery-based practices.
