Level 2- Estimated annual base pay: $132,000.00(minimum) - $165,000.00(midpoint) - $198,000.00(maximum)

Reporting to the Military OEM Sales Director or the Military OEM Senior Sales Manager of Woodward's Aerospace Sales, Marketing & Services department, the Sales Manager is responsible for achieving revenue and growth objectives, building and maintaining relationships, and finding new sales opportunities. Ideal location would be based at one of our aerospace facilities in Niles-IL OR Santa Clarita-CA, but we will consider candidates located at one of our facilities in Rockford-IL, Fort Collins- CO, or Zeeland-Mi as well
The Military OEM Sales Manager covers Military OEM customer accounts to ensure WWD secures follow-on production and services orders on existing programs and positions Woodward for growth on next generation military programs.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsible for selling highly-engineered energy and motion control components, sub-systems and systems to aerospace OEMs.
Responsible for achieving Woodward's sales growth objectives for the assigned customers.
Accountable for the disciplined use of strategic account management and selling processes.
Develop and implement sales strategies for new and existing products or services that are aligned with product roadmaps.
Develop and nurture strategic relationships with assigned customers.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing & Services organization to enhance and communicate Woodward value propositions for the assigned customers.
Provide guidance and support negotiation on key commercial positions/requirements for the assigned customers.
Revenue and item forecasting for the assigned customers.
Quoting follow on orders/lots in support offor US Government contracts.ustomers
What We Are Looking For
Level 1
Bachelor's Degree in Science (Engineering preferred) or Business Discipline OR equivalent experience required
2 years' experience in progressive sales experience required, preferably in an aircraft engine or aircraft industry segment. OR extensive Woodward product knowledge and demonstrated ability to effectively influence customers.
2 years' experience in a related industry
Relevant experience working with a technical/engineered product serving complex accounts and channels required.
Sales account responsibility for medium-scale sales experience (i.e. $25M +) preferred.
Track record of results working for a multinational company (companies) with a diverse customer base required.
Strong commercial skills including: selling process, pricing, costing, discount structures, terms and conditions, sales strategy development/execution, negotiating and sales proposal development.
Solid knowledge and understanding of aerospace and defense industries required.
Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and oral/written communication skills
Level 2
US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business or Engineering preferred.
Additional formal training in specialized areas such as program management, negotiations and strategic selling preferred.
5+ years' experience in progressive sales experience required, preferably in an aircraft engine or aircraft industry segment.
Relevant experience working with a technical/engineered product serving complex accounts and channels required.
