QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
- Master's degree in secondary education field (Special Education preferred), counseling or K-12 administration.
- Valid Michigan Department of Education Teaching Certificate (Special Education Preferred)
- Knowledge of Career and Technical Education
- 3 years of educational experience in a variety of settings working with students and staff
- Successful experience in classroom instructional development, curriculum design, learning accomondations, brain research and assessment
- Strong knowledge of commputer and software applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with students, parents, colleagues and the community.
- Handle confidential information.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Required to have a physical presence at the designated job site each scheduled work day.
- Must have regular and reliable job attendance, performance and the physical ability to do the job.
PREFFERED:
- Overall knowledge base of impact of disabilities (i.e. OHI, LD, CI, ASD, etc.) on curriculum progression.
