Overview:
Responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of Firm-wide Technology enablement. Helps drive the development and implementation of the organization's digital strategy, including supporting digital transformation and leveraging technology to improve project design and delivery, project outcomes, business operations, and revenue growth. Focus on building and leading a technology strategy and infrastructure that supports and enables design and business objectives. Oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of a strategic, comprehensive design technology program. Continuous improvement of project design and delivery and business processes through technology and automation. Ensuring the effective operation of practice and enterprise technologies to improve business and operational performance and enhance customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with market sector leaders, enterprise groups, and subject matter experts to design and develop initiatives that generate new technologies, establish intellectual property and define HKS as an industry leader in innovation.
Guides and oversees the application of digital technologies and processes in support of enhanced design, evaluation, delivery, and assessment of our work.
Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), President, Chief Design Officer (CDO), and Executive Leadership team to develop a comprehensive digital design and delivery technology strategy that identifies and prioritizes digital/technology opportunities, assesses risks, and defines the roadmap for digital transformation and supports our evolution to a data-driven business
Develops and implements a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's overall design excellence goals and business objectives
Develops the overall strategy for implementation of technology and digital assets including data, content, and applications to ensure they are effectively utilized
Supports enhanced project, business and operational processes through strategic alignment with CIO
Leverages new and innovative technologies that raise our level of design thinking and provide measurable impact for project stakeholders.
Leverages new and evolving technologies to equip the organization with a best-in-class environment supporting efficient and high-performance delivery of our work products
Designs and delivers new technologies and processes that leverage firm-wide knowledge to fuel creativity and deliver value with clients and stakeholders in mind
Leads the development of new software and technology solutions to support the company's practice and business needs
Manages a team of Practice Technology (PT) professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Manages a team of Visualization professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Manages a team of Global Knowledge Services and Digital Workplace professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Stays up to date with the latest technology trends and make recommendations for new technologies that can improve the company's practice and operations
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 10 years of experience in technology management in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or a related or relevant field
Innovative thought leadership with the ability to inspire a cross-functional, multidisciplinary team
Experience in MS Office Suite
Experience in cloud-based platforms such as Amazon AWS, MS Azure
Experience in contract and supplier agreements and negotiation
Experience in cloud infrastructure preferred
Sustainable design accreditation preferred
Advanced knowledge in 3D modeling in a variety of software platforms such as Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, CATIA, etc. preferred
Knowledge and experience in development and deployment of task automation tools required
Knowledge and experience in development and deployment of AI and ML tools preferred
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign graphic software preferred
Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
Knowledge of the following programming languages: Processing, C#, Typescript, and Python preferred
Experience with advanced simulation and fabrication methods preferred
Experience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy
