About the Role
General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Deputy Program Manager (DPM) within the Air Defense and Stryker program office.
This position is a key member of the Air DefenseProgram leadership team. Air Defense Programs include SGT Stout, Single Vehicle Stryker Counter-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SVS C-UAS) and Directed Energy Maneuver Short Range Air Defense (DE MSHORAD). Air Defense Programs are fast paced, dynamic and provide critical new capabilities to our warfighters. This position is responsible for providing organization, direction and guidance to a cross-functional team across the GDLS organization. This role has P&L accountability and requires excellent communication, organization and strategic thinking skills.
This position is heavily focused on engineering development, material planning and vehicle deliveryworking with Engineering Project Leads,Supply Chain Management, including suppliers,and Manufacturing Project Leads.

9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off)

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
Foster and develop an outstanding relationship with current and future customers to deliver best in class solutions
Manage all program/project schedules, deliverables, and financial outcomes
Coordinate across the entire organization internal and externally (mfg, finance, supply chain, engineering, etc.) to maintain the program's performance and resolve any issues that arise
Execute risk management and proactive thinking across performance, cost, and schedule
Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and at the same time diving into technical details with the working group
Drive consensus and resolution across organizations with competing priorities
Plan, prepare and execute RFI/RFP/ROM responses to customers
Serve as a primary program interface for internal and external customers.
Qualifications Sought
Minimum of bachelor's degree in engineering, business, management, operations & supply chain.Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience.
5-7 years of relevant work experience.
An ownership mindset with P&L accountability
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
Demonstrated ability to form and lead teams.
Experience in leading the cross-functional integration and implementation of complex systems and technologies.
Ability to assess business or technical risk and develop corrective actions and mitigation plans.
Must have excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent business acumen and negotiating skills are preferred.
Strong acumen in MS Office applications as well as ability to learning new systems (financial, contracts, supply chain, operations, etc.)
Ability to travel as needed.
