The Battery Management System Controls Manager is responsible for the status and timing of the BMS Software for a given program. The Controls Manager facilitates deliverables between stakeholders for software development, feature planning, software integration and validation timing for BMS software to achieve vehicle development milestones for BEV in-house software Applications.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the BMS Feature planning (FROP) and software deliverable milestones/timing to satisfy the PCR timeline for the overall propulsion system
Work cross functionally with SW development (supplier or internal), SW validation, Calibration Diagnostics, FUSA and Architecture teams to manage SW release timing to meet Vehicle build and program timing needs
Provide Issue status and recovery timing (DVPM) internally and with supplier
Provide recovery plans and status for BMS Software
Facilitate cross functional issue deep dive and mitigation plans in order to provide software status and recovery plan
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or related degree field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Controls or Project management
High attention to detail and organization of information for multiple technical and non-technical audiences
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiar electrification architectures including EV, HEV, PHEV and BSG systems
Highly motivated with self-driven
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with high accountability and ability to drive a decision
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Business degree or Engineering Management
3 years of experience including 1 year of vehicle electrification engineering experience in controls, calibration or software project management
Advanced automotive battery design and testing experience or training
Product Design and Release experience
Requirements Definition and Management
Change Control and Issue Management Tracking Experience
