Product Creation IT, CAE & Virtual Verification is a key department within the Ford IT Product Development Organization. The Department is responsible for critical, software tools used in the global engineering community to support vehicle product design, engineering, and verification. In this position... The STAR (Software Tracking Acquisition and Replication) team is responsible for managing third party engineering off the shelf software licenses within the IT Product Development Organization for business-critical departments (Product Creation, Manufacturing, etc.). We interface daily with external suppliers, and internal teams such as, business IT, IT Contracts, Ford Global Technologies Limited, Purchasing, Office of General Counsel, Finance, and internal business in multiple departments, globally. Responsibilities What youll do... * Manage a portfolio of 3rd party software licenses used globally in PD, MFG, etc. This involves working with: o Internal business IT and business teams to obtain software requirements, o Vendors and Internal IT Contracts to finalize contracts and amendments, o Vendors to obtain quotes, o Internal IT Finance teams for spending approvals, o Internal Purchasing to finalize purchase orders and special contract terms. o Manage the budget for your supplier portfolio including Business Planning and Budget Setting annual activities. * Look for strategic opportunities to grow the business while saving the Company money. Experience Required: 2+ years of experience in software procurement, budgeting, business planning and finance experience with duties including but not limited to planning, contract/amendments, license usage tracking, forecasting, managing day to day spending, monthly reviews, and similar responsibilities. Experience Preferred: 0 Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements: Additional Information: Hybrid role. Once a week at Wagner East on Tuesday. Overall 13 or more days per calendar quarter at this time.
