Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team in Holland.
As a Production Supervisor, you will:
Supervise, plan, and monitor Production Department operations to produce quality product and meet schedules, within budget, to customer-driven specifications. Lead and develop high-performance teams and cross-departmental, cross-functional improvement teams. Actively support corporate participative management strategies and programs as they relate to department personnel and client/customer relations. Consistently act and behave in a manner that supports high-performance team-based organization, effectively working to manage safety, quality, schedule, cost, and culture.
Essential Functions
Assures product quality standards are achieved and in compliance per established requirements, including proper department documentation per Haworth Quality System/International Organization of Standardization (ISO) 9001 and 14001 requirements.
Maintains accurate floor stock inventories and expedites raw materials as required to meet department production/warehouse schedules.
Communicates daily with production/warehouse members on matters such as performance, schedule completion, and team/department goals. Coaches and assesses member performance to conduct performance review process and administer Haworth policies and procedures, including discipline, as required.
By spending significant time on factory floor, is able to observe, first hand, department operations and conditions and maintain general security of department. Coaches and assures team members are properly trained in job, operational, inspection, and safety requirements.
Initiates process of hiring, promoting/demoting, transferring, and terminating production/warehouse members to comply with established Haworth policies and procedures. Utilizes temporary employment agencies to adjust for short-term staffing needs. Makes final hiring decisions, based on team's recommendation for selection of new team members.
Assigns and schedules production/warehouse member workloads and hours, including overtime, to meet department schedule.
Assures all department work centers are properly maintained. Recommends additional or replacement production or support equipment and/or maintenance/repair of equipment.
Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Must be able to perform all essential job function with/without accommodation.
Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor Degree in engineering, operations, business or social science disciplines or equivalent
Education Equivalency:Associate Degree or technical skilled trade journeyman plus 2 years manufacturing or warehouse experience OR
4 years manufacturing or warehouse experience
Work Experience:
3 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience or equivalent.
2 years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications
Previous leadership experience as a Supervisor or Manager within a high-volume manufacturing environment
Experience with Continuous Improvement/Lean Principles
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience running and troubleshooting manufacturing machinery
SAP experience
PowerBI or other data analytics software experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
Working knowledge of MRP concepts and AMAPS software system
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
Interpersonal communication and mentorship skills
Strong ability to drive process improvements
