We are looking for:
Individual will be responsible for all heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system operations statewide (approximately 60 sites) including technical oversight of maintenance, operation, service, troubleshooting and testing to ensure all systems function efficiently and as intended. Provides insight for HVAC engineering operational standards. Performs technical studies, design review of specifications and technical plans, quality assurance, commissioning and testing. Obtains permits and is responsible for project compliance of mechanical permitted work and maintenance support.
In this role you will:
Responsible for oversight of maintenance programs, inspections and operational aspects of building HVAC systems across the enterprise. Provide 24x7 emergency service support for all HVAC equipment issues and system outages.
Oversees mechanical permitting for Facilities and assure compliance and adherence to all applicable codes and regulatory issues.
Develop preventive maintenance procedures for all HVAC systems statewide.
Provide coaching, leadership, and serve as trainer for OM&C and NE employees on mechanical system operations and technical expertise. Provide hands-on HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting support to all r OM&C and NE maintenance technicians and HVAC specialists throughout the >60 statewide company locations.
Perform HVAC and system audits and implement energy and reliability initiatives

The individual should be skilled in the following Core Competencies: thorough understanding of building mechanical systems and controls; ability to read and interpret building design plans and specifications, contract, and equipment manuals is essential; ability to write contract technical requirements and project reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively one-on-one and in-front of small groups. Individual shall be familiar with large scale heating and cooling plants for multiple building service and high-rise applications.
Knowledgeable in the areas of improved HVAC equipment operating efficiencies, reduced energy consumption, applying cost-effective, cost cutting technologies that reduce operational bottom-line expenses through prudent energy management. Working knowledge of large, chilled water equipment. Thorough understanding of building mechanical systems: including pumps, valves, and boiler systems. Familiar with the following types of Control Systems Pneumatic, Electronic, DDC
Honeywell, Andover, Johnson, Carrier, Trane systems Understand federal and state regulations and requirements (i.e., Electrical Codes, Electrical safety Codes, Fire safety Codes, OSHA, MIOSHA, etc.).

Good communication skills and the ability to work closely in a diverse customer base including contractors, customers, Engineering & Design staff, Field Leaders, and maintenance staff. Must be able to travel to various work locations throughout Michigan.

High School Diploma Required
Michigan Mechanical License Class 1-8 Required
CSD-1 Boiler Testing License
Refrigeration License
7 years of experience in HVAC system operations and oversight of maintenance programs, and HVAC troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical systems, Facilities Management or related field.
