Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work from our plant located in Grand Rapids, MI. As a Maintenance Tech, this candidate will be responsible to work independently installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining, all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment. Schedule Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm (Schedule may vary)
Key Responsibilities
Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical and electronic applications acquired through 5 years of experience
Able to read and work from blueprints, drawings and electrical schematics
Requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently
Requires the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Requires working at excessive heights
Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, programmable logic controllers) etc.
Responsible to repair various types of facility equipment (lift trucks, pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, HVAC) etc.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment
Prepares, coordinates and implements preventive maintenance
Capable of minor electrical installations
Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position
