POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review, evaluate and monitor staff performance; and recommend appropriate staffing of all order processing work zones.
Conduct frequent safety inspections and quality assessments of all order processing work areas.
Schedule and coordinate work flow within order processing and in conjunction with the shipping department to expedite outbound production.
Determine work progress and reevaluate staffing needs accordingly.
Responsible for training new employees and coach existing employees
Provide key performance indicator goals and expectations to order processing staff.
Review the operation of the order processing department to monitor safety, production, quality, and efficiency to anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide and preserve the security and accuracy of all inventory in order processing.
Initiate and complete projects that improve safety, efficiency, and/or reduce operating costs.
Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for all order processing positions; review safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for entire site.
Implement programs and procedures to ensure site cleanliness
Uses problem solving techniques that result in improvements in performance and productivity
With assistance from the Supervisor, informs team of any policies or procedures changes
Motivates others when change occurs to obtain positive results
Other warehouse duties as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (To include relevant work experience, competencies and education requirements):
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Excellent communication skills in written and oral form are required
* Must have basic reading & writing skills to interpret documents, read labels, literature, policy manuals etc.
* Self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Must be reliable and on-time to work each day.
* Good work ethics and ability to interface effectively with others in a fast-paced team environment.
* Must wear protective eyewear, footwear, hand protection (gloves) and safety vests
* Abide by all safety rules and expectations
* Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, follow up and keep subordinates motivated.
